What's In A Name?
When I began to consider opening a shop on Etsy, a great deal of consideration was placed into what I should name it. There are a plethora of great articles out there on this topic.
Some will suggest using your own name, others to name your business to describe your products, and others yet will advise to pick something that is near and dear to your heart....but whatever it is, it should be memorable.
OneThirtyEight Designs. Obviously not my name, obviously not a description of what I make. So what does it even mean, anyway?
"The LORD will fulfill His purpose for me;
Your steadfast love, O LORD, endures forever.
Do not forsake the work of your hands."
Psalm 138:8 {ESV}
OneThirtyEight is derived from the reference of one of my very favorite scriptural reminders of the Lord's work to fulfill His purpose in my life. It is a reminder that He will fulfill HIS purpose for me in every area of my life, including this blog, my shop, my everything. It is my hope that it will serve as a reminder to you, dear friend, as well.
